1. Who we are
Litedemy is an academic management platform built and operated by REZA APPS, a software company based in Buea, Cameroon (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle personal information on this website and on the Litedemy platform, in line with Cameroon’s Law No. 2024/017 on the protection of personal data and, for visitors elsewhere, the same principles of transparency and restraint.
2. What this policy covers
This website: when you browse it or write to us through the contact form, we decide what happens to your information.
The Litedemy platform: a school that uses Litedemy decides what records it keeps about its students, staff, parents and applicants, and why. For that information the school is responsible, and we process it on the school’s behalf and under its instructions. Questions about a school’s records are best sent to the school first; we will help it answer.
3. Information we collect
Please do not send health or other sensitive details through the contact form.
- Contact form: your name, institution, role, email address, the topic you pick and your message.
- Platform accounts: the details a school enters to run its work, such as names, contact details, class or programme, attendance, marks, results and fees, plus sign-in details for each account.
- Technical data: like any website, our servers record basic request data such as IP address, browser, pages requested and times, to keep the service running and secure.
- Cookies: this website stores one cookie, litedemy_locale, to remember your language. We use no advertising or analytics trackers on this website.
4. How we use it
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to train public AI models.
- To answer your message, arrange a demo, or give you access to the user guides.
- To provide the Litedemy platform to the schools that use it, and support them.
- To keep the website and platform secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers store or process data outside Cameroon. We choose established providers, send them only what they need, and rely on their contractual safeguards.
7. How long we keep it
- Contact form messages: up to two years after our last exchange, unless they lead to an agreement.
- Platform data: for as long as the school uses Litedemy, then deleted or returned as agreed with the school.
- Server logs: only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
8. How we protect it
Each school’s data is kept apart from every other school’s, and a school can run on its own dedicated database. Connections are encrypted in transit, every account sees only what its roles allow, and access by our own team is limited to what support requires. No system is perfect: if you believe something has gone wrong, tell us at litedemy@reza-apps.com.
9. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, to limit or object to some uses, or to withdraw consent you gave. Write to litedemy@reza-apps.com. We may need to confirm it is you. If your information is held by your school, we will pass your request to the school or help it respond.
10. Children
This website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s information through it. Student records on the platform, including those of minors, are entered and managed by the school under its own authority and with the consents it requires.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information in a way you would notice, we will update this page and its date. For significant changes affecting schools, we will tell them directly.
